Silt Fence is a woven fabric that temporarily controls sediment.  Ideally used on construction sites to protect water quality in nearby streams, rivers and lakes from sediment in storm water runoff. Silt Fence comes with 13 pre-attached posts.  Stakes are pointed (like a pencil) for easy installation.  Often used to meet city, county, state engineer or DOT specifications. 

Applications for Silt Fence include:

  • Perimeter of construction sites
  • Adjacent to streams, lakes and creeks
  • Bottom of highly erodable slopes
  • Around storm-water drainage ditches and culverts
